Lana Button is a children’s author, educator and entertainer who is passionate about supporting, encouraging and entertaining young children. She writes picture books that support empathy, self-reliance, resilience and anti-bullying behaviors.

Lana’s books have been shortlisted for several awards, including The Blue Spruce Award, The Shining Willow Award, the Jean Throop IODE Award and the Rainforest of Reading. Her books have been recognized as Canadian Children’s Book Centre’s Best Bets, Bank Street Book, and the IBBY Outstanding Book for Young Children.

Lana speaks frequently at festivals and schools. She shares her books and her writing process, and encourages young children to find their voice and speak up for themselves and for others.
